heave ho! away

So, the rain date pirate cruise went off without a hitch. Here the littles with boarding tickets in hand are anxiously awaiting to walk the plank into The Black Raven. We had a absolutely perfect night for a little tour of the St. Augustine bay. Good things come to those that wait:)

Miller found two seats up top to watch "the best pirate show in FL" according to the website    http://www.blackravenadventures.com/   . The crew put on an improvised skit involving the passengers & little mateys. I will say that their pirate chant songs were authentic sounding and only added to pirate mood while cruising. With a few knock knock jokes and pirate humor, this scallywag was having the time of his life.

Miller asked Landon, "Was this the excursion you kept talking about that was going to blow my mind?"

Real pirates wear pink, right? So, it's a little embarrassing to wear pink on a pirate cruise. We had to laugh about it as our original plan did not involve this not so friendly pirate color. Landon was only the brunt of one pirate "har har" while on board. He's such a sport for going along with the clothes I lay out for him on vacation.  

There were foam sword fighting lessons from Clipper Mack the Englishmen on deck. Miller got into a competitive jousting match.

Ok, it wasn't so fierce when he was belly laughing the whole dueling match.

Oly Mackerel- The Pirate Whisperer painted authentic pirate-like faces. I wonder if he ever envisioned painting children's faces in his job description when he was hired? 

Then, we just relaxed and enjoyed the view cruising at dusk.. The littles collected their pirate beads and loot. 

The Old City was beautiful from the bay. Miller spotted the lighthouse that he toured last year with Landon. We love this historic town.

We were docked right by Santa Maria's. The crew made a joke that the restaurant was a human aquarium on the water through the glass:) We said our goodbyes. So long Black Raven and crew!
