Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving! With thankful hearts we celebrated with family today over at Grandmama and Poppy's house. We each contributed a side dish, to lighten the cooking load on Grandmama. For that, she was thankful! This little turkey celebrated her very first Thanksgiving.

We are so thankful for Eliza Kate's precious life. I could just gobble up her sweet, dimpled cheeks. Pureed sweet potatoes topped her list of favorite foods today.

Miller donned his turkey hat from Maggie's first birthday. He wore it ALL day, even to Waffle House this morning. Miller sure did get a lot of attention with his festive hat. When worn correctly the gobbler hangs down past his nose!

It's a team effort at Chez Miller. Clay and Landon love manning the stove.

There's always an excuse for a quick photo with Eliza Kate. We have more than our fair share of photos with just Miller.

Thank you Grandmama and Poppy for being the hostesses with the mostess. You didn't let Poppy's knee injury get in the way of entertaining. Praying for a quick and speedy recovery for Poppy.

Sitting Pretty

Oh how I love this sitting stage! There's just something about our Buddha bellied gal sitting pretty, alert and watching the world from her upright position. Those fat rolled legs..ahh I could eat em. With 19 lbs. 12 oz. in all her glory, the little miss sure has a lot to uphold.



Sitting pretty in the grocery cart has made our shopping excursions all the more entertaining. I snapped a few pictures on our grocery run this weekend. I couldn't resist. When I purchased this toile cover with Miller, I had visions of a little girl joining me as my shopping buddy down the road. I tried to go gender neutral with the cover. Although, Landon insists that toile is not gender neutral. I made it go both ways, but at 2 1/2...Landon skipped the toile germ shield on his shopping trips with Miller out of embarrassment:)







Eliza Kate is thrilled with her new outlook on life in the shopping cart. Her ear to ear grin and happy sounds gave it away. We're getting stopped and touched a lot more now that she's out of her carrier.Miller has been booted from his throne in the cart and loves walking around the cart in the "cart zone".

Pearly Poppers

We've been awaiting the grand arrival of what we fondly call "teethers" around our house for a couple of months. All the signs were there, excessive drool, runny nose, and a lot of gumming on anything she can get her chubby hands on.

The pearly poppers finally came through just at six months. She's right on track with big brother with this milestone. Poor baby has the rosiest of hot cheeks, but no fever yet. Our evenings have been fussy lately. Eliza Kate just can't get comfortable with the arrival of these teeth. We have one that has cut through and a second just below the surface on the bottom.

One things for sure, I've been rocking and holding the little miss just a little closer this week. She's needed a lot of comfort to get through this teething mess. Tylenol and Hyland's teething tablets have done just enough to take the edge off.Slow down baby girl. You're breezing right through all the stages of infancy way too fast!
