With mid 80 temps & a breeze on the shore, we were made in the shade in the forecast department. It was ideal weather for July. We've tolerated high 90's with stagnant air on past vacations in Ponte Vedra. Just call us beach bums as a shaded trio taking in the sights through protective sunglasses under our umbrella. I made sure to slather these kiddos up with a thick coat of sunscreen before our morning beach jaunt.
We brought our favorite Trader Joe's fig bars to the beach with us. Can you spy Miller's zinc oxide covered nose?
Miller spent most mornings on his boogie board riding the rolling Atlantic waves. On this day, it was a red flag day...so I was keeping him close to us.
Some waves tumbled right over his head. All that we could spot was his board bobbing up to the crest of the wave. Miller eventually surfaced with his wrist band secure. He's big time:)
We hung our suits to dry while we napped. It rained a heavy shower during dinner and then we were back out for the most magical sunset. There's nothing like the magic hour in the early evening at the beach. This is my absolute favorite time of the day to play & take pictures:)
Landon made a creative hat out of his undershirt. It kept these two in stitches. They love their comedian of a dad!
We rinsed off our toes just in time for our daily read aloud of The Mouse in the Motorcycle. Everyone loves a good beach read!
