Hooray for the Red, White & Blue

Happy Memorial Day! Our patriotic baby enjoyed some splish splash time in his new backyard pool today.Landon joked that we should pledge allegiance to Miller's pants.

Miller loves his new jungle themed kiddie pool. At first, he just stood around the side of the pool to observe the water and toys. Little by little, he grew more curious and put his hands in the water. When we dipped his feet in, we let him cry it out for a few minutes before he enjoyed splashing about. Then it was all over, he sloshed around and enjoyed dipping his face in the chilly water. Happy sounds and giggles assured us that he loves his new backyard toy. Landon showed Miller how to squirt water from the octopus toy and it shocked him when the water would squirt out onto his face. After all his jumping and splashing, Miller took a long rest sitting down in the pool with his arm lounging over the side like a little man almost to say," I'm just chillin' mom and dad.

Another fun part of the pool excitement was throwing all of his toys over the side of the pool rim and retrieving them back in the water. Jackson, our kitty, enjoyed seeing all of the backyard fun through the back window. We provided a little entertainment for his mundane house cat life.

We hope you enjoyed the wonderful Memorial weekend with your family honoring those who sacrificially serve our country and give us freedom.

Pledge alligence to Miller's pants -- THAT made me laugh out loud. Leave it to Landon to come up with something so funny!
