Happy 1st Birthday good buddy! We had a great time ringing in Brooks' first birthday on Saturday celebrating with Whitney & Todd and friends. The weather was perfect to play and eat outside. Miller enjoyed himself on Brooks' new slide and loved swinging too! Of course, we chased our little walker all over their back yard. Landon is becoming quite the pro at keeping up with our little fast one. We take turns eating and chasing Miller back and forth, side to side, backwards and forwards and all about.
Brooks & Miller go way back.... they enjoyed chilling in our tummies while we all took a birthing class together last year. They have really enjoyed playing together throughout the year and their weekly playdate in the church nursery is a blast I'm sure:)
Cake time greeted us with an eager baby ready to have his first taste of the sweet icing. Brooks carefully dug his fingers in at first saying "Mmm" upon his intial taste. It wasn't too long before he plowed into his smash cake. Adults were all standing around admiring the cake faced first birthday boy. Miller was thrilled when he got to take home his very own bubble favor to use at home. What a special day for a special boy!

We were so glad to have all of you at Brooks' party! I'm glad Miller enjoyed playing in the backyard - we'll have to do it again before it gets too hot! :)
