Music Pup

We've been enjoying The Music Class every Tuesday morning this summer. Miller and friends did the same class last year and it was a highlight of our week. He's still a "music pup" until he's four. This session we're singing and dancing to The Dolphin Collection series. Suprisingly, Miller likes to participate in my lap during the "sit down" songs, clapping and shaking the eggs. One of the rules in music class is NO running. So, as you can imagine, I'm corralling him in from time to time. Trying to teach a go-go toddler not to run is no easy task. One way or another, he gets his wiggles out by jumping, rolling, or his new trick...somersaults!
On our road trip to Knoxville, we listened to our CD from class over and over.I think we all got a few songs stuck in our heads over the weekend. One things for sure, don't skip a song on the CD. Miller will let you know they have a certain order that they should be played in! Silly pup!
Landon uses the songbook to play some of Miller's favorites on the keyboard before bedtime. I love to watch Miller sit in his daddy's lap and hum & sing some of the words to his favorites.
Miller got the giggles today when we used grooved and smooth red sticks to tap along to the beat. These sticks even became antlers on his head. He just thought this was so funny!
We joined Jack, Sophia, Alexandra, and Ainsley for lunch at Chick-Fil-A afterwards. After chicken nuggets and a fruit cup, Miller was recharged for some playground fun with his buds.
