Wrapping it ALL up

Miller proudly accepted his green ribbon for completing another year of Awanas! This year, he became a Kindergarten Sparky and received a ribbon for completing his entire book. That means he memorized a Bible verse each week. Lots of scriptures {not always short and simple ones} and all of the books of the New Testament were memorized {with some prompting}. We are so thankful that he already values hiding God’s word in his heart.

Landon and I enjoyed the informal ribbon ceremony in which we heard the Sparky pledge along with the Pledge of Allegiance reccited from the lips of our little man.

I'm not going to lie, it was hard to get to church on some Wednesday nights. However, Miller was always all smiles when we picked him up. Honoring his commitment is the most important part of the training we're instilling in our faithful man:) His teacher surely made it her priority to teach these boys every week.

The cookie and punch reception was just the ticket to cap off another year. So proud of our little man!

Another picture from the last week of school. Miller read 60 plus books second semester of Kindergarten, so he received the "Rocket into Reading" certificate. It was rewarding for him to count all of his books as we tracked progress on his school/home reading log. Miller saw the benefits of goal setting.

Our school system no longer holds a formal Kindergarten graduation with gowns & caps--but Miller did receive his promotion certificate. We richly reward him with a new Wii Skylanders portal system for lots of 3+ on his 4th quarter card. Way to go Miller man!
