Christmas Packages

One thing that I love about December is family time and celebrating traditions. One tradition that our family started last year was attending Christmas Packages at my parent's church. We bundled up extra warm this year as it really felt like we were venturing to the North Pole. With temps in the 30's and icy cold wind, we took an abbreviated tour of events this year with the little miss in tow.

We toasted our hands by the open fire pits and roasted marshmallows to make smores. Miller loved this yummy, sticky treat.
Santa's reindeer were there in attendance to pose with, but we were much too cold to wait out the line for a sleigh picture this year.

We viewed the live nativity and petting zoo outside the manger. As always Miller loved brushing the animal's fur. The choir sang Christmas hymns by the barn. It really got us into the spirit of things celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.

Miller and daddy enjoyed a bitterly cold tractor hay ride around the parking lot. Miller commented that he was glad he had on his "puffer jacket".
He grinned from ear to ear enjoying his time with just daddy.

Our little ice princess, enjoyed all the events from the front seat of her stroller. We dressed her in layer upon layer and draped a warm blanket across her lap. She was snug and warm under there, but her chubby cheeks could only take so much wind.

Eliza Kate was a sport about the whole event. She's our chill baby, soaking in all the sights and sounds around her. We alternated between indoor and outdoor activities to thaw her out for a bit. Grandmama was so excited to introduce her new little darling to her friends.

Loving the season with our family. We have so much to be celebrating this year!
