Five Months in Pictures

Eliza Kate, you must slow down! You are growing up way too fast. Five months has brought many milestones. Pictures show it best, sweet thing!

We started oatmeal, and you ate the first few bites like a champ.

Then you gave us this pitiful face. Mixing the oatmeal with sweet potatoes or peas did just the trick to give this bland meal some pizazz. You were a fan of this new big girl treat. It fits right in with our four hour schedule. The challenge is getting you fed breakfast before we leave for preschool in the mornings. So far, you eat a hearty breakfast and dinner. We'll be adding lunch soon.
Your favorite activity this month is the Jumping Johnny. Your cute little legs love to pounce up and down with glee. You make such happy noises! Big brother can't leave you alone while you're jumping. Mommy has to keep an eye on you because he wants to swing you back and forth or bounce you too aggressively.

You are tolerating our daily tummy time well. I have to flaunt special toys in the air to get you to pick your head up high.

You'd much rather sit up! We're so proud of you for independently sitting at 5 1/2 months.
This has opened up many opportunities for you to see the world from a different perspective. It's nice for mommy to sit you down wherever I am in the house without the Bumbo or bouncy seat.

You still have such an easy going, happy spirit. What a smiley little girl you are! The fat faced dimpled grins really are over the top. You love to play with your butterfly toy, links, and flower rattle.

One of the best things about sitting up is that Miller can interact and play with you more.
He loves to share his cars and trucks with you. Your eyes follow his every move. Whenever Miller laughs, you chime in with your own giggles.
I have a feeling this is the start to a long career of brother, sister playing
