My little GO-GO!

Fridays are always so much fun because you know you have the whole weekend ahead of you to enjoy with your family. We're looking forward to this weekend because we can finally get caught up with things around the house and just chill on Saturday. Last weekend was crazy busy and while that is fun I always like to have some freedom from being over scheduled.

Being busy doesn't bother Miller...He is such a go-go baby..He likes to be where the action is. He loves a party & watching people and his surroundings. I think he gets that from Landon. Landon never wants to miss a party!

I took Miller with me to Keheley's Fall Festival tonight. It was his first real outing to the school. It was so neat for him to meet my students from this year and in years past. I've taught at Keheley for seven years now and in that time have been able to teach kids and all their brothers and sisters too! You become part of their family and really bond with them. Miller was all smiles as he met all of mommy's kids before she had a kid. People used to ask me," Do you have kids?" and I would respond..."yes, 20!" You truly do treat them like they're your own.

Can you believe students from my first class ever are in 9th grade?? That's a shocker moment that makes me feel old. A few of them were at the festival and it was fun to catch up and have them meet Miller. Of course it was confusing for them to call him "Miller" because when I taught them I was Miss Miller!

After an hour or so at the festival, it was time to go home and give my go-go baby a bath, bottle & bed. He had an action packed day. We're looking forward to some chill time tomorrow. Happy Weekend!

Bobbing in the Pool

"Oh Baby" is the name of our new swim class & Oh baby is it ever fun. Meg, Jack and Miller loved the interaction and the moms loved the workout /social hour. It was too cute to watch Miller just barely peer over his yellow saucer as we swam laps in the pool. Jack's mom Paula was very competitive with her laps. Don't worry Miller, we'll beat her next week in the race! Meg stole the show in her tulip swimsuit. She' s a little fashionista for sure.

Miller enjoyed the warm water and squealed with contentment during our aerobic work out The mommies worked out upper body and lower body using our babies as weights. We all sang and swam together....what fun!

Miller was so worn out..he took a 2 hour nap when we returned. We both came home tired & hungry but most of all excited for next week!

Little Sipper in Training

We're enjoying watching Miller drink from a sippy cup. It's actually a sippy cup with training wheels..it's the next step on our way to drinking from a cup. It has the same top as a sippy cup but it's softer plastic for his gums. Miller enjoys holding the cup and dropping it to see what sound it makes. These cups are sturdy.. they roll, bounce & tumble and nothing comes out. He can hold the cup and drink but still needs work on the tilt to get all of the milk out!
In other news, Miller has a new item on his menu this week...green beans & squash! He has sampled rice cereal, oatmeal and homemade sweet potatoes so far. I was curious to see how he would take to green beans as they are not a sweet veggie. To my surprise he couldn't get enough!

Six Months Already??

Happy Six Month birthday baby Miller. I emphasize the word baby because I can already see these baby years flying by! We had a wonderful day ringing in Miller's half year birthday. Yep...that's right our baby has been around 6 months

already. I took his six month rocking chair pictures and they were pretty funny this month. It was hard to capture him without waving his arms, kissing teddy, climbing off the chair etc. He used to just sit there..those days are gone!

We got a special visit from Uncle Clay and Grandmama and Poppy tonight. The fam joined us for dinner and cupcakes to celebrate. Uncle Clay last saw Miller in the hospital so it was exciting to have him come over and play. He's such a great uncle..a natural with babies. Miller took to Clay right away smiling and touching his beard. He had him laughing in no time. Poppy joined right in on the fun and had Miller rolling on the floor and flying in the air.....these men and their rough housing...it makes a momma protective. They'll do anything to hear that happy heart felt giggle.

We finished the night off with chocolate cupcakes and a tired baby in his high chair. After downing 7 ounces of milk and a warm bath it was time to sleep after an exhausting day!

I included Miller's one month photo & six month photo to show how much he's grown already.

Happy 30th!

Laura and Jennifer make turning 3-0 something to look forward to! We had fun ringing in their milestone birthday Saturday night in Roswell. It was a black and white party. All the guests wore black&white and the birthday girls wore red. It turned out really cute! Even the guys got into the black and white theme. Landon took the theme a little extreme...he wore a black and white chef outfit. I guess it was better than his high school tux that is three sizes too small. What am I going to do with him???

You say potato..... I say po-TAT-o

This week we had the fun adventure of introducing Miller to the world of food served on a spoon. We've been eating rice cereal for a few weeks and figured it was time to move on to REAL food. He's done really well so far. I started off with a sweet veggie like sweet potatoes and tonight we tried bananas. Miller seemed to really like the bananas but I'm not sure they agreed with his tummy.

It's not as easy to feed him anymore. It takes a lot of set up, and clean up....he likes to press his lips together and spray the food all over the place. What a boy!

Strolling in the neighborhood

Yesterday, Lisbeth & Allie and Mommy and Miller enjoyed a refreshing morning walk. It's been too long since Miller and Allie have had a play date. It was so nice to get out, walk and mommy chat now that the fall weather has arrived. Having a baby gives you a daily reason to get outside and exercise. I've looked forward to strolling with my baby my whole life. Sometimes I just pinch myself that it's finally that stage of life!

After our walk, Allie and Miller enjoyed playing together on the floor. Miller just stared at Allie and smiled. I think he has a crush:)
