Happy 30th!

Laura and Jennifer make turning 3-0 something to look forward to! We had fun ringing in their milestone birthday Saturday night in Roswell. It was a black and white party. All the guests wore black&white and the birthday girls wore red. It turned out really cute! Even the guys got into the black and white theme. Landon took the theme a little extreme...he wore a black and white chef outfit. I guess it was better than his high school tux that is three sizes too small. What am I going to do with him???

You say potato..... I say po-TAT-o

This week we had the fun adventure of introducing Miller to the world of food served on a spoon. We've been eating rice cereal for a few weeks and figured it was time to move on to REAL food. He's done really well so far. I started off with a sweet veggie like sweet potatoes and tonight we tried bananas. Miller seemed to really like the bananas but I'm not sure they agreed with his tummy.

It's not as easy to feed him anymore. It takes a lot of set up, and clean up....he likes to press his lips together and spray the food all over the place. What a boy!

Strolling in the neighborhood

Yesterday, Lisbeth & Allie and Mommy and Miller enjoyed a refreshing morning walk. It's been too long since Miller and Allie have had a play date. It was so nice to get out, walk and mommy chat now that the fall weather has arrived. Having a baby gives you a daily reason to get outside and exercise. I've looked forward to strolling with my baby my whole life. Sometimes I just pinch myself that it's finally that stage of life!

After our walk, Allie and Miller enjoyed playing together on the floor. Miller just stared at Allie and smiled. I think he has a crush:)

Chilling in my saucer

Recently, Miller has grown increasingly bored of his baby Papasan swing. He does not look amused whenever we put him in it. Don't get me wrong, that swing was our lifesaver in the beginning. We couldn't live without it. Each new stage brings different toys. Landon worked hard on Sunday putting together Miller's new exersaucer. It had TONS of little pieces. We packed up the swing and stored it away for future use.

Miller has had practice sitting in grandmama's exersaucer, so we knew he would be thrilled when he learned he had one at home too! He loves to rotate around and explore all the little interactive toys. He shrieks and shrills with excitement..it's too cute to watch!

Now, he will hop from the floor to the jumpster and back to the exersaucer. It's a play gym over here!

Found my feet!

Over the last few weeks, Miller has found his toes and has fallen in love with them. He loves to hold them at every opportunity he has on the floor. We love to watch him when he first wakes up in the morning on his video monitor. Miller makes so many happy sounds and just plays with his little feet. It's his new form of entertainment. Today, he discovered that his toes can go in his mouth. Somehow I knew that he would figure out this stunt....everything finds his mouth!

It's official..Landon replaces Michael Vick

ah...just kiddin..too bad they aren't shaking hands. We were hoping the picture that Landon took with Arthur Blank would look like he just signed with the Falcons.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We enjoyed celebrating Allison and Tim's wedding on Saturday night. The wedding was on the most perfect of days with a touch of fall in the air. Alli and Tim made such a beautiful bride and groom.
The bride is a high school friend who happens to nanny for Arthur Blank, owner of the Falcons.
The reception was at the Arthur Blank foundation in Buckhead. It was just gorgeous with outdoor gardens & architecture right in the heart of the city. The reception was soo much fun....a much needed reunion with old friends.
At the reception, Landon and my dad toured Arthur's office, library, indoor golf range, and workout room...they were in heaven!! It was one of the most amazing wedding reception sites we have been to.
Congratulation Alli and Tim..welcome to married life!

Labor Day Trip

What a wonderful trip we had to Arizona over Labor Day. We traveled to Arizona for a little getaway last weekend to celebrate in the marriage of Landon's cousin Roland. It was our first time away from little Miller for an extended time.

On Friday, we flew into Phoenix and stayed with Landon's friend from high school and his wife Cori. They were wonderful hosts and showed us their "oh so fun" life living in downtown Phoenix. We enjoyed having dinner with them and even took in a Diamondbacks game. Jer even let us take a ride on his "scoot"!

Saturday morning Landon and I drove a little ways north to the Grand Canyon. This has been something that I have wanted to do for awhile, so I was excited that we had the opportunity. Pictures don't even do it justice...it's magnificent! Landon talked me into taking many "daring" photos beyond the canyon's fences. Let's just say I had some sweaty palms:)

On Sunday, We enjoyed Roland and Sarah's wedding in Flagstaff. The setting was so picturesque among Aspen trees and the mountains in the background. The weather was a beautiful 75 degrees. Who knew Arizona had so many climate changes and landscapes?

We had a wonderful time as a couple, but I was definitely ready to kiss Miller's sweet cheeks again!
